<h4><span class="text-big"><strong>The Big Picture:</strong>&nbsp;Black Maternal Health Week, established by the Black Mamas Matter Alliance, takes place from April 11 to April 17, with the goal of giving a platform to the voices and experiences of Black mothers.</span></h4>

<h4><span class="text-big"><strong>Local Impact:</strong>&nbsp;In cooperation with Public Health&rsquo;s Local Office of Minority Health, Queens Village Dayton will organize events that concentrate on learning, advocacy and offering a supportive environment for Black women to rejuvenate.</span></h4>

<h4><span class="text-big"><strong>By the Numbers:</strong>&nbsp;In 2020, Black women in Ohio had a 2.5 times greater likelihood of dying due to pregnancy-related causes compared to White women.</span></h4>
<h4><br>&nbsp;</h4>
<h4><span class="text-big"><strong>Zoom In:</strong>&nbsp;The mortality rate for Black infants was over three times higher than that of White infants in 2021.</span></h4>
